Code Enforcement

The primary mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to ensure the safety and welfare of the City and its Citizens by enforcing the City codes and ordinances in residential and commercial districts. This includes addressing violations and issues such as:

  • Dumping
  • Tall grass 10" maximum height
  • Property maintenance
  • Illegal signs
  • Animal control

The enforcement of business licenses (occupational taxes) and construction permits as well as yard sale permits is also a part of our duties.

When addressing violations verbal warnings, written notices, and summons to appear in City court may be issued.

Code Enforcement holds a high level of respect and fairness to our citizens, business owners and visitors.

You may reach the Code Enforcement office located in the Royston Police Department or by phone 706-245-0454 with any questions you may have.
